So here it is, our final layout for the imaging project. I thought I'd share it with my readers' too.

Travel Diaries

Our original inspiration for this shoot came from the Spring/Summer 2011 ballerina trend. Films like Black Swan and the Ballet Russes exhibition at the V&A inspired designers like Erdem and Chloe to create flowing skirts and tulle underskirts.

However, through shooting the outfits, we came to realize that we had stronger images without the ballet influence. We therefore changed our concept to “retro traveler”. Using props such as a vintage suitcase and radio to create the mood, we shot the outfits close-up to concentrate on detail.

We used our own wardrobe as well as new “purchases” to style the shoot mixing and matching high-street with designer pieces.

We chose Elle magazine as our target publication as we feel the end result fits with the shoots they regularly feature.
