Sunday Lunch

Since I won't be home till late on Valentine's Day, we decided to go out for lunch on Sunday instead to a little Italian bistro on the high street. I bought this blouse on Friday since I felt a blouse/shirt void in my closet. My wardrobe is lacking a little in smart/casual pieces so I went to Zara (the go-to shop for smart/casual clothes) to try to fill that void. I also bought a black cross-over dress which I'll show you later in the week.

Blouse - Zara, top - H&M, jeans - Hollister, shoes - New Look, purse - Bimba & Lola, watch - my Grandmother's

Valentine's Gift

As 'V' day looms I thought I'd show you what I plan to give my other half. I have already been Valentine's card shopping four times and am yet to find a relevant card. I hate the smooshy, lovey-dovey poems that card manufacturers insist on printing inside their cards and can never find a front that applies to my relationship. What a minefield.

I found this gem of a present whilst in This Shop Rocks on Brick Lane (blog post here and here) looking at vintage clothes. I HAD to get one so tried to find the oldest one possible. This one is from 1922 - how different cards were back then? But they didn't just send Valentine's cards to their lovers back then but to every member of the family. I decided to frame it (with a frame I bought from a charity shop) because I thought it'd add a lovely touch to our hallway.

♥ 4 Things

The first appearance of Cadbury's Creme Eggs (also indicates the beginning of the end to this miserable winter)

Small romantic gestures in the run up to Valentine's day

This Glamour shoot which only exites me further for London Fashion Week where I'll be interning at Amanda Wakely and Burberry

This Elle shoot which makes me want to shop for my spring/summer wardrobe

Although I can't afford clothes this expensive, the outfits do inspire me to recreate the looks with high street items.
